Day of
Caring 2007
|

|
On
September 12th, 2007, Waterline
Industries Corporation volunteered in
their third annual Day of Caring Project
that is sponsored by the United Way of
the Greater Seacoast. On this day,
volunteers from around the region join
local nonprofit organizations to work on
one-time service projects in an effort
to impact the communities needs. Day of
Caring offers the opportunity to work
together to make a difference in the
community.
This
year, Waterline returned to the Little
Blessings Daycare located at the Christ
Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to
complete three projects for this
non-profit organization. The first
project, "Keep Us Out of the Rain"
involved constructing an overhang
structure at the entrance door which
will keep parents, staff and children
out of the rain while keying in their
security code at the locked door. The
second project, "Color us Bright"
consisted of painting two bathrooms, the
laundry area and a hallway that led out
of the bathroom area, down a set a
stairs and hallway. Waterline
voluntarily took on a third project of
replacing the bathroom partitions and
fixtures in both bathrooms.
The
project was a huge success. With the
help of Pat Woollett, the Director at
Little Blessings Daycare and Kelly
Coleman, the Assistant Director, the
facility remained in operation while
Waterline completed their projects.
Waterline
Industries would like to give special
thanks to CP Building Supply and FW Webb
for providing discounted pricing on
materials.
Please
view the photographs to see our
volunteers in action. We look forward to
more community projects in the future.
